To avoid that the high cost of school supplies becomes a reason for which children cannot go to school, by providing with school kits to low-income Colombian families.
In Colombia, the highest educational expenses for a family occur at the beginning of the school year. The investment in school supplies supposes a very high cost for low-income families. Providing students with school kits allows to break the educational inequality gap.
For this reason, the Colombianitos Foundation will deliver school kits to 450 children living in Puerto Tejada, Valle del Cauca, a Colombian community with a low level of education and one of the municipalities with the highest rate of violence in youth and adolescents.
The Colombianitos Foundation is a leader in the use of sport as a tool for social development and peace building in the classrooms and communities with the greatest need in Colombia. Its vision is to improve the quality of life of children, young people and their communities, through sports, play, recreation, education and health. Colombianitos is present in several Public Educational Institutions of Colombia.
