Collaborate for the labor insertion of disabled people with premature aging.

Actívate project takes into special consideration the needs of people with disabilities of working age. It also allows a transition to a full social and working life and retirement, in an environment that does not involve the high level of demand required by a full day at the Special Employment Center of the FIL Foundation. All this takes place in an environment in which the purchasing power is not deteriorated by the casuistry of the group.

Through this project the foundation offers the possibility of maintaining the working activity in their center. There, the user can work in an adapted way with low cognitive and physical demands and can receive support from the Multidisciplinary Support team to which he or she has been linked to advance in the career. The idea is to maintain a full working day, combining hours of adapted work with working hours where occupational and community integration activities are carried out.

These activities are actions with therapeutic purposes to prevent and maintain health, as well as to improve working habits, train in social skills, stimulate cognitive abilities, among others. Activities and community accompaniment are carried out in the territory in order to facilitate inclusion in the community and avoid isolation.

• Perform adapted work, in a line of work with low cognitive and manipulative demands. This line is physically located in the same workshop in order to include workers in a real work environment in the relevant service or section. There is a person in charge who accompanies the workers and ensures compliance with the specific aspects of each person's individual plan. Reduced working hours: 7.5 hours off per week. 

• Carry out occupational activities: actions with therapeutic purposes related to the prevention and maintenance of health, making up for disabling deficits, promoting independence and reintegration into the labor market. 

• Execute activities to improve manipulative skills.

• Implement cognitive stimulation activities (attention, memory, communication, etc). The use of the Neuro Personal Trainer platform of the Guttmann Foundation has been implemented. 

• Offer activities to promote personal autonomy (self-image, hygiene, eating habits, etc.).

• Organize activities to eliminate the digital divide.

• Carry out activities in the community (inclusion in the community network, especially in the population of Esparreguera). 

• Perform leisure activities (outings, assemblies, group of friends, trips, etc). 

• Implement labor rehabilitation activities.

The Premature Aging (Actívate) project will support 21 disabled people who are in a stage of premature aging. This accompaniment will allow them to carry out, within their working day, occupational activities, as well as an adaptation of the work place and a reduction of the working day, maintaining their level of income.
